Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Track team at Dublin high. It was three years ago when coach Williams took over the program and asked me to be the sprint coach. He had a vision to turn a floundering program around and make it a track power in the area. It was a challenge I wanted to be a part of.  Last week the program has made its most significant step towards that goal. Well done athletes and coach Williams the driving force behind the program.

Contra Costa Times:

The Dublin boys team won the first outright league varsity track and field title in the school’s history, according to coach Chris Williams.

The Gaels scored 97 points to edge Campolindo by four points for the DFAL championship boys team title. Dublin also finished the DFAL regular season undefeated.

Dublin racked up several points in the jumps, sprints and hurdles at the DFAL championships. The Gaels’ Keremiah Crockett won both the triple jump (43-53/4) and the long jump (21-63/4), and teammates Jordan Davis and Jabari Davis also finished third and fourth in the triple jump. Jordan Davis was also sixth in the long jump and third in the high jump.

Dublin’s Anthony Egbujor and Artis Jones were 1-2 in the boys 100 meters, both with times of 11.17, and Jones was third in the 200. Jabari Davis won the 110 high hurdles in 15.81 and was fifth in the 300 intermediate hurdles. Teammate Leiroy Abueg was second in the 300 hurdles (43.50).
