Rob: Baseball is a highly competitive sport. Teams not only want skilled ball players but good athletes. The biggest indicator of your athleticism is speed. If you have speed you have better range, more explosiveness in your hitting and throwing, and simply bring more to the table. Kids go to camps all the time to learn their baseball skills but hardly ever that amount of energy into being better athletes. |
